Forthcoming activities:

Workshops:

There are many areas where solutions need to be found that can have massive impact immediately.  ITF proposes to organize workshops in suitable locations.  The topics identified for the workshops over the next two years are as under:

  • Geotech in roads
  • Composites in Infra and Building
  • Revalidation of popular AYUSH medicines
  • Solarisation of agri pumping
  • Biomethanation for Swachh Bharat

  • Decentralized renewable

In these workshops relevant stakeholders will be invited to present their views, technologies, solutions etc. in an objective manner, which can be converted into certain pilots and policy actions by relevant authorities.

Debates on Vital Topics:

There are many obvious but controversial topics, which are not being taken up by the people that matter.  These debates are proposed to be organized through suitable institutions for involving youth or thought leaders.  A few of the subjects for such debates are:

  • Land Shortage – Myth or Truth?
  • Tax on rich agri
  • Allopathic research …. is it scientific?

Indian knowledge system series of lectures:

Western thoughts are dominant in most domains of our life.  Indian knowledge systems are either relegated to insignificant position or ignored.  It is time to organize series of lectures that will bring out the current understanding on different streams of Indian knowledge systems like:

  • Health sciences
  • Medical sciences
  • Astronomy
  • Mathematics
  • Economics
  • Architecture
  • Material sciences
  • Agriculture
  • Water conservation and harvesting

The first lecture in this series was delivered by Dr. Bajaranglal Gupta on “Sumangalam – Vikas ki Bharatiya Sankalpana (Bharatiya Concept of Development)”.

Innovative actions / Projects:

From the brainstorming and workshops, there will be many pilotable projects worth pursuing and that satisfy 5S framework of being Simple, Smart, Sensible, Sustainable and Scalable/Spreadable.  These will be taken up in calibrated manner in suitable locations in a time bound manner with collaborators or agencies or partners or individual entrepreneurs.

Innovative Designs:

Design in comprehensive manner covers end-to-end spectrum.  ITF proposes to focus on design solutions in relevant areas especially:

  • Waste management / Swachh Bharat
  • Renewable energy
  • Long life but low-cost solutions in containment, housing etc.

ITF Gurukul:

There are many people that have requisite energy and enterprise to support interested mentees or entrepreneurs.  It is proposed to have a platform of “gurukul”where people that are retired but not tired will be able to provide guidance, mentorship, advisory and other support in “gurushikshya” mode.

Knowledge Partnerships:

Out of box and innovative thoughts are not feasible or practical in many of the established institutions.  ITF will be keen to become knowledge partner with such willing institutions to provide mutually agreed knowledge, research & study support and for innovative actions that are envisaged through joint deliberations with ITF and partnering organizations.
